Bay beauty

This is beautiful Duncan Bay in the Malborough Sounds at the top of the south island of NZ. We stay here for a week every second year and have fun canoeing sailing and fishing and relaxing. It is quite remote and situated in one of the few areas of native bush left in the Sounds. Much logging and a change to farming has meant a reduction in the Native bush

I really enjoy taking photos and would appreciate your feedback so that I can learn as I go. I particularly enjoy photographing birds animals and landscapes

Great shot, composition and glitter on the water is superb. The sky is a bit washed out, and you have done well to include the tree as a natural frame. The boardwalk may be a bit distracting as the viewer wonders where it goes. Otherwise another fine shot.

@Graham Russon: I see what you mean about the boardwalk it could be cropped out. I seem to have trouble when shooting into the sun which is why the sky is washed out on the left. Thanks for you advice though as always it is gratefully received
