These shots aren't easy - if you are looking at experimenting, you could try to underexpose the photo by as much as a stop, and then compare at the end. You will find that by doing this you will capture more of the texture of the petals - but you then have to weigh that up with losing some of the brilliance that you've got here. 3 Oct 2008 12:33pm @dobbino: Thanks for the advice.
