Another reminder

A howling Norwest wind resulted in this black cloud and stunning rainbow. The wind died down as it started to rain. I dashed out in the rain to get these photos and so they are not quite as good as I would like. I did like the bright sunshine on the paddocks though as a foil against the black cloud
I really enjoy taking photos and would appreciate your feedback so that I can learn as I go. I particularly enjoy photographing birds animals and landscapes

I love rainbows, this is a stunner. I like the striking green foreground against the dark sky, is that more sheep I see? LOL (I love them :o). A great image... hope you found the pot of gold Deb!

OMG Deb....I have never seen a rainbow captured so perfectly!!! Its so wicked how the sun is still shining on the green field but the black cloud is on its way...such a brilliant capture definately and A+ for me:-)) I just love the diversity of weather in NZ....i think its due to how narrow the country is, you can see weather fronts approaching and I have to say the 'Norwester' has to be experienced to be believed!!! Thanks Deb for a great image:-)

Stunning. Interesting though - the left side of the image looks about a half an f-stop lighter than the right side.
by the way, did you get to see Dorothy - she's wearing red shoes?

@Jeffster: thanks Jeff I missed Dorothy darn!!! In all the photos I took the under side of the rainbow is lighter. I didn't notice it in real life but wonder if the camera did it as it just a point and shoot.
