A pair of white fronted terns sitting on an old disused pile that used to support a railway line
Thanks to all who wished Matthew a happy birthday yesterday he was amazed the get salutations from around the world. This is such a great community
I really enjoy taking photos and would appreciate your feedback so that I can learn as I go. I particularly enjoy photographing birds animals and landscapes

@chrissy: It is a peaceful place now. The little settlement of Aramoana at the end of the moll was the scen of one of NZ worst mass murders though.

Wow Deb! Birds are so difficult to capture, but you seem to have it down to a fine art now! Beautiful birds and composition, I really like how you have tightly controlled the DOF here. Really gorgeous!

I think this may be my favorite, so far. The black and white with that gorgeous blue water is stunning and the rocks and birds are in perfect focus -- great depth of field. You're a Debbie? I'm Nancy. Nice to meet you.
