The Harbour

A view of Lyttleton harbour from Geddes Pass. The town in the centre is Lyttleton which is the port for Christchurch. The harbour was formed when an old volcano blew its top many many years ago
I really enjoy taking photos and would appreciate your feedback so that I can learn as I go. I particularly enjoy photographing birds animals and landscapes

Deb, you wouldn't mind boxing me up a piece of blue New Zealand sky and sending it over to me would you? Its absolutely gorgeous, so intensely blue. Such an amazing view, well captured!

@kylie: Thanks very much Kylie did have a little help from Picassa on this one as the sky was a little washed out. Might be hard to get a box to put the sky in but I'll think about it hehehe

Oh how I wish I had made it to NZ and not just the Auckland airport... to think... I lived so close to NZ but travelled more throughout the US... one day...

a great landcape! I had the best time last year when i walked down from the gondola to lyttleton!!! i took my time and went on all of the little side tracks so that i could get some good pictures of the town and surrounding landscape - it was so much fun! it is good to see the bay and landscape from this direction!

@Kathryn: thanks Kathryn I'm pleased you enjoyed the walk on a good day the harbour is spectacular. I walk up on those hills on a bad misty cold day and got hypothermia!!
