Bicycle Bridge

This bridge is part of the Railway Trail. It was originally an old railway between Chch and Little River but hasn't been used for many years. It has recently been turned into a cycle way which stretches between Motukara and Little River. it is a very popular cycle way especially with families
I really enjoy taking photos and would appreciate your feedback so that I can learn as I go. I particularly enjoy photographing birds animals and landscapes

Well, jamesy I didn't know that! I was standing there for how long the other week and I never knew! This is a wonderful composition mate, it really draws you in! Great stuff!

This is beautiful. They have done the same in a few places here, turning old railway runs into bike/hike paths.

Our bike paths aren't quite as scenic, unless you enjoy riding through farmland. This is a lovely view and a ride I'd love to take. Beautiful photo, too. :)

I haven't cycled for years,too hilly for me now,with cycle paths like yours I could be tempted to start again...I think we won the battle of the Haka, the singing and the first half yesterday,but after that it was All Black..I would like to know how Wales facing up to the Haka was received in NZ. :>)

@Jeff: Actually Jeff didn't see the game. But in the league the Aussies were right in the kiwi faces which didn't seem to cause any problems, so if thats what the welsh did then I don't think it would be a problem

such a beautiful place to ride, I would get back into cycling if I was there, must be so peaceful riding aong with the beautiful scenery and hearing the waves rolling in
So frustrating the All Blacks are doing so well and they dont show the games on Cable here :(

That's a very similar situation as to what happened with the railway line to my town of Warburton - now a very popular Rail Trail too! i like the composition of this shot and also that you have captured the shadows on the bridge. i would like to travel on this track - maybe on my next trip!

Moreover, not of rises, not of descents, all flat!
I am an insane follower of the bicycle. I make, approximately 500Km/month.
That pictures gives such an impression of quietness and serenity ! Very nice !

I think the offset bridge looks great in this shot, I used to cycle in place just like this.

Very nice shot I have to say,I´m in two minds about the bright left hand side though.It´s a bit overexposed but it sort of helps the shot though !!
