Where is the pilot?

This is at the head of Dunedin harbour. I saw the pilot launch pull along side the boat and thought yee ha will get the pilot going down the ladder. But alas the pilot launch just stayed alongside until they were out at sea and out of camera range. Never mind I still quite like this photo

I really enjoy taking photos and would appreciate your feedback so that I can learn as I go. I particularly enjoy photographing birds animals and landscapes
