Christmas (2)Posted by jamesy (christchurch, New Zealand) on 24 December 2008 in Lifestyle & Culture. The 2nd photo for Dimitrios' challenge our christmas tree this year I deliberately over saturated the tree to make it stand out from the black and white background I really enjoy taking photos and would appreciate your feedback so that I can learn as I go. I particularly enjoy photographing birds animals and landscapes

Too cold for tears, too weak to fight, I keep my worldly goods by my side, these days choosing to travel light and seek constantly changing locations to lay my head. Life has a funny way of tipping the balance in favour of your humiliation, and a father who viewed life from the bottom of an empty whiskey glass , using his wife as a physical and emotional punch bag to vent the frustrations of a life of failure and inneptitude, showed me the doorway to freedom and the inside of a dozen borstals by my late teens. They tell me it's Christmas day tomorrow, and from the dazzling street decorations like neon rainbows, and the smiling faces of the passing children who's natural curiosity for the street bum and his trolley cart is met by a sharp tug in an opposite direction from concerned parents, I guess it must be true. In truth one day is much like the next for me and my peers. There will be no family reunion for our band of merry misfits and family freaks, no turkey dinner other than the servings gratefully recieved at the shelter. New year beckons, another year older and none the wiser. If I could have but one Christmas wish, then it would be that I do not have to suffer endlessly the torment of a life so harsh and unfairly judged. A few coins from sympathetic passers by, a warm drink and hope aplenty would ease my woes, and the scales tipped more in favour of concern and understanding rather than fear and ingrained misconceptions. 24 Dec 2008 10:46am Bredis from Västra Götaland, SwedenError text was cited.
