Southern Crested Grebe

Visiting Lake Alexandrina we were very lucky to see this bird it is quite particular to this area and apparently never goes on land. Not sure where it lays its eggs
I really enjoy taking photos and would appreciate your feedback so that I can learn as I go. I particularly enjoy photographing birds animals and landscapes

The water has an interesting look/feel/texture; it could make a lovely abstract shot just showing that! Having the bird there too makes it just fab!

Isn't it great to see birds that are 'rare' or in a place they shouldn't. The other day we were driving down a back road out to the country side of Florida and what do I see on a telegraph pole... an American Bald Eagle... something you never see in this area of where I am... one problem... we were in a car going down a Highway... bummer...

This is so pretty. I spent the late afternoon at the river trying to get a shot such as this. I just didn't have the proper lighting to bounce of the water. This is so elegant. Very nice.
