Hidalgo from Herunen, FinlandYes. This better than the earlier photo, my opinion. The bee and flower against black make this photos admirable. 2 Apr 2009 6:08am @Hidalgo: thanks for that I appreciate it @ceanothe: Your photos are stunning dobbino from Cape Town, South AfricaHi Debbie - I think I prefer this one too, but it's marginal - they are both nicely composed, and striking shots. The large aperture also gives you that wonderful black background, which really brings out the colour of the subjects. 2 Apr 2009 7:18am @Lorraine: No sorry no smell but lots of beautiful blues and pinks and purples and some whites EYES WIDE SHUT from The library of my soul, United KingdomSo beautifully captured, Debbie. This is a stunner, so delicately observed, dreamlike. I want to stroke the little fella 2 Apr 2009 12:35pm Ronnie 2¢ from London, United Kingdomhee hee . . You certainly stopped that wing action. 2 Apr 2009 2:20pm Susan from Fort Lauderdale, FL, United StatesNot sure which I like better...... both are really nice shots!! 2 Apr 2009 3:53pm Leena from Joensuu, FinlandVery, very smooth, warm and beautiful nature macro! Happy weekend to you! 2 Apr 2009 5:06pm Mandy Provan from Johannesburg, South Africawow, that soft lighting is fantastic..gives you the feeling that we're spying in on the little critter. Lovely shot Debbie 2 Apr 2009 7:49pm Charles from New York, United StatesNicely done with the fast shutter speed. I like the freezing of the wings. 2 Apr 2009 8:28pm Lee from Fort Frances Ontario, CanadaI definately prefer this shot over yesterday's. However, they are both wonderful. Very well done Debbie. 2 Apr 2009 10:11pm Bookfool from Mississippi, United StatesYep, I like this one better, but they're both great. 2 Apr 2009 11:44pm @Vachel: thanks for the visit and the comment dj.tigersprout from San Bruno, CA, United Stateshello hello Deb!! :) hope you have been well in my long absence!! i am loving new york city -- it is truly the place i need to be!! let's hope a job follows at some point!! just wonderful work here, just beautiful softness of light and color!! i feel i could reach out and touch it!! keep it up!! speak soon!! :) 3 Apr 2009 3:46am @dj.tigersprout: so pleased to hear from you am pleased that all is going well. thanks for the kind comment Photosanity from Folsom, United StatesOkay - I can't decide - I agree the focus is better on this one but I think the vertical format on yesterday's works better for me... it feels more as if the flower is leading me to the bee than in this one. Of course that is just one person's perspective. Either way they are both great captures. 3 Apr 2009 4:09am Mary from PA, United StatesI didn't get to comment yesterday but I think I prefer the vertical...the comp seems stronger with the flower leading the eye as photosanity said. I also like the light on the wings. Both are wonderful. 3 Apr 2009 5:53pm marcel lemieux/star_cosmos_bleu from Bedford.Quebec, CanadaMy fave of the 2 shots...i just like the distance and angle here...beautiful capture...lovely light and colors 4 Apr 2009 1:45pm willow from United StatesDefinitely the better focus of the two - lovely lighting in both. 8 Apr 2009 8:35pm |
