Lake PearsonPosted by jamesy (christchurch, New Zealand) on 13 May 2009 in Landscape & Rural. I just had to make hubby stop so i could get this shot It is not often that it is so still in the high country I really enjoy taking photos and would appreciate your feedback so that I can learn as I go. I particularly enjoy photographing birds animals and landscapes

Bill Jennings from Bay Area Northern Calif, United StatesYou are so lucky that you have such an understanding spouse! This lake is so still, it is a mirror: great capture. I wonder what is the best way to present this - more or less sky, with or without the road/fence. A vertical highlighting the valley and lake? not sure, but you have a winner regardless. well done. 13 May 2009 6:50am chrissy from uk, United KingdomThis was well worth stopping for - you obviously have your hubbie well trained!! Really great shot, love the composition and the colours 13 May 2009 6:58am Linerberry from Sumner, Christchurch, New ZealandWow that is truely something!!! I could stare at this for hours. 13 May 2009 9:32am @MrsAmber: well we did talk about that visit the other day hehehe thanks for the kind comments dkc from Xanthi, GreeceThe photo is great...love the line of the fence and the lake mirroring. I might have cropped a little bit of the sky but it may be a little more tight composition! 13 May 2009 10:08am @dkc: thanks for that It has certainly raised a few questions Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaCrystal clear and absolutely lovely, perfect combo Debbie :) 13 May 2009 10:59am @Lorraine: thanks Lorraine sawsengee from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysiaa beautiful landscape well captured, wonderful colours, reflections & composition 13 May 2009 11:56am @sawsengee: thanks for the kind words and the visit Cricket-Tammy from Alabama, United StatesWhat a place to stop! Very lovely. 14 May 2009 5:25am Lesley from Lincoln, United StatesFive stars!! This is such a gorgeous shot. Beautiful light and clarity. Very sharp! I agree with some of the others. I might crop just a smidge of the sky and maybe a bit from the bottom, but I'd leave the fence posts or the lake would feel too low in the frame. 14 May 2009 2:44pm firdaus from Bogor, Indonesiawow great shoot, the image is really sharp on the mountain, and a little bit blur at the foreground... make it unusual landscape picture :D 17 May 2009 9:43am Lambspun from Madison, Maine, United StatesYou live in some beautiful country and get some gorgeous shots! 30 May 2009 11:55pm |
