swallows nest

Posted by jamesy (christchurch, New Zealand) on 7 September 2009 in Animal & Insect.

these photos are all from a trip to our local wetland with my son for a school project. Travis wetland has been saved by our city council as a natural wetland all around is residential so we are very lucky it is only 10mins from the centre of the city.

We were sitting in a bird hide (andrew has to count birds over an hour) when a swallow flew in and landed in this nest which until then we hadn't even seen

I really enjoy taking photos and would appreciate your feedback so that I can learn as I go. I particularly enjoy photographing birds animals and landscapes
